A classic species from northern Sumatra. There are a number of different forms but all have beautifully striped pitchers with a colourful peristome. This species is very striking and has been used to make some excellent hybrids in the past.
The female parent is from North Sumatra and the male parent is the slender form from G. Sibuatan.
