First introduced June 2020 as a limited release of seed-grown individuals.
The female parent is one of the four clones of Nepenthes rajah, sold under BE-3152 and originating with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. It has typical lower pitchers similar to that shown in the first photo. The male parent is the Borneo Exotics’ cross between Nepenthes veitchii and Nepenthes platychila selected from those sold under BE-3213 and with typical upper pitchers.
This cross is already showing great variability as would be expected of a compound hybrid. Although still very juvenile, many plants here have peltate leaves, with some being very peltate and others slightly so or not at all. Some of the photos here show these characteristics.
