This is the last burbidgeae in the greenhouse. I struggled with this one and now it is starting to pick up and do really well.
This clone was isolated from amongst very many for its spectacular coloration. It varies from the usual N. burbidgeae colouration in that it has far more red in the pitcher than is usual for the species and is exceptionally beautiful as the photos show. This item originated from legally collected seeds, originating from the Pig Hill area of Mt. Kinabalu, just outside the boundary of the National Park. It is speculated that there may have been some introgression with N. rajah at some point in the past, although the pitcher morphology seems to indicate N. burbidgeae. The plants you will receive are of the same clone as the plants shown in these photographs.
