From a single selected clone out of microprop.
This swamp-dwelling species is one of the few that will develop basal rosettes when larger, giving the appearance of a carpet of pitchers with no leaves. It grows easily in acidic media with high temperatures and humidity. This is the most vigorous clone selected out of a batch of 6. It has the typical red speckled colouration on a green background. The photographs show plants in habitat with similar appearance (courtesy S. McPherson).
